Conditional Cautions
The Police and Crown Prosecution Service can use Conditional Cautions to divert some cases away from court. They are decided on a case-by-case basis. Conditional Cautions usually require the recipient to participate in a rehabilitative programme of work, alongside an acceptance that they have broken the law.
Safer Lives delivers several Conditional Caution programmes each year. Our Conditional Caution programmes usually include four one-hour sessions. Caution recipients are signposted or referred in to Safer Lives by the police, often after consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service. The costs of the Safer Lives delivered Conditional Caution programme must be covered by the recipient.

Police investigation and MOSOVO teams that don't already have referral pathways into Safer Lives, can contact us to discuss how this can be arranged.
